Katherine Kummer: yeah, maybe, you know, that motivate me that she was a family member. It was a female

Silvia Fonseca: because this year Apollo improves a lot of stuff, new vibes and new stuff.

Katherine Kummer: I'm happy, you know, that now our daughter, you know, because sometimes you can tell a kid, Oh, let's breathe.

And they're like...

Silvia Fonseca: I have a friend and he, he has a lot of business and stuff. So he always is like super anxious. He always, you know, using the cell phone and just playing because he needs to do something. So I was like, please buy the Apollo, you need the Apollo. And he's like...

Michael Kummer: you know, we are, I think, Fairly dialed in as far as our lifestyle is concerned, but even you, I think, noticed that dramatic impact...

And now back to the episode.

Michael Kummer: All right. Today we have two special, very special guests, uh, my wife and her sister, Sylvia. And we're going to talk about Apollo and not how I've been using Apollo because I've talked about it plenty, uh, before, but how they've been using Apollo to help with, Uh, reduce stress, anxiety, improve sleep.

And I don't know what, why else you're using Apollo, but I think they are actually the bigger fan than I am. And I'm a pretty big fan of Apollo. So today I wanted to get the, you know, female perspective, someone else's perspective, um, on, on the device. Uh, maybe before we talk about your experience for anyone who doesn't know what Apollo is, can you show it?

It's, it's this thing. It's a tactile, it's a tactile stimulation device.

Katherine Kummer: It's actually on right now.

Michael Kummer: It's running. I can feel it because everyone's nervous because of the podcast. And, um, it, it helps you get into a more parasympathetic state. So it gets you out of the sympathetic mode, the flight or flight fight or flight response, and helps you calm down.

Reduce stress, reduce anxiety, and make you more stress resilient. So you're better dealing with stress, even when you don't have any gadgets or devices at your disposal. So with that out of the way, welcome to the podcast, people. Um, so sorry, we're going to try to

Katherine Kummer: do a Spanglish.

Michael Kummer: Spanglish, yes.

Katherine Kummer: So everybody, you know, is going to catch them in their Spanish.

Michael Kummer: Yes, yes. It's going to be a Spanish lesson as well. So maybe Sylvia, let's start with you. Um, why are you using Apollo?

Silvia Fonseca: Well, last year, because I'm take always a month to go to a Michael Kummer camp in your house. And when I do that, um, always, alwaysly, I, uh, clean my body, clean everything. So everything starts to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

And last year, I had a big migraine. And I know that you was using something for easy that, uh, Vibes, you know, but I was like, well, I don't know. So I asked Kathy, Kathy can I have something because my rhyme is like, I, you know, like it's gonna explode my head and So she she gave me that the little piece and she was like, well we have something else that is better and So she gave me the Apollo and I started with the punch points

Michael Kummer: Okay.

Because

Katherine Kummer: we, we had that for Isabella and Sylvia asked me, you know, when she had that really bad headache, she asked me for the touch points. Yeah.

Michael Kummer: So we've been trying out different, um, um, tactile stimulation devices, I guess. And Apollo, uh, happens to be our favorite. The one that we use most often. So Kathy led to her.

Uh, let you pour hers.

Silvia Fonseca: No, no. What's yours?

Michael Kummer: Oh, it was mine. Yeah. Okay. Well, we only had one at the time. Okay. Gotcha.

Silvia Fonseca: So I started to use them and then I was like, okay, I feel like super good. You're really better. And I was like, I need to buy this. You know, I have to try different things because I was like trying.

Everything because I want to heal my migraines. So I was like, well, this is you know that I had to to buy it So I asked you to buy me blah blah blah and so it came to me I have now one year using, and I, I always go to the doctors, to all my friends, to everybody, because I always use it. Now I feel like empty if I don't use it as like the, where is my family, I apologize.

So now it's anxious for me if I don't have my

and actually I buy it because I was like, well, for my migraines and my husband Ali, he has. And I , and now he's like, see, I need to appoint. I'm like, Mm-Hmm. Oh my God. So, yeah, I, I have one year using, and I, what I. I feel it's my migraine decreased a lot and for sleep, it's now I know that I can, because I am a mom, I have a four years, a little girl in my house, so if I have a nap, I start the nap and it's like, Oh my God, that way I was like, Oh, she's doing everything now, I have to work, because this year Apollo improves a lot of stuff, new vibes and new stops, and I started Obvious V.

I. by the smart vibe, The good morning vibes are like essential for me because I wake up at six 30 and I say to Apollo, I schedule my Apollo around 6 45 is the, and when Antonella wake up and I wake up, everybody's like super happy in the house. , you know, because I, my bot's like, okay, it's working. And that even that even vibes, because they are new.

I have, I think they have like a one month. Now I don't have to put the sleep because just with the even vibes works a lot for me. I don't even feel when I go to sleep or yeah. And I know, for example, I use it when I know that I'm going to a party with my friends in the, uh, parents party with kids and I put it in social because, you know, I feel like I need to begin and not tired or if I don't like.

People kind of was like, okay, I need to be at a happy place. It

Michael Kummer: happens a lot to me that I don't like people.

Silvia Fonseca: Social is perfect for that. And now I, they don't, they don't sell Apollo in Mexico, or shipping to Mexico. But now I discovered that you can buy it in Amazon. And I was like, People, please, do something for your lives.

So I go to doctors and they're like, What is that? It is, uh, because it looks like a, uh, a watch.

Speaker 3: Uh

Silvia Fonseca: huh. It's vibe. So I start to talk with doctors and everybody are like, Oh, okay, okay, okay, talk to me more because a lot of people doesn't know about this. And they don't, what I think, and this happened in Latino America, um, people, I am talking about our, our culture.

I live in Mexico right now and in here, what we understand is that people doesn't prevent to get sick, you know, and this is the people think that is this is like expensive or is a bad investment or, you know, Oh, I don't know because they don't, they don't think that they can, you know, improve, improve a heart

Michael Kummer: or prevent, you know, Prevent, in the US, not a whole lot of prevention going on.

More treating symptoms.

Silvia Fonseca: See, we have a, a clinic for, for, for the heart is they, or for, for prevent a heart attack and the people, you know, like why I'm going to do that. Yeah. Even runners or people that doesn't, you know, like runners knows that they can't have a hard time in a run because a lot of people are dying right because they don't do that kind of things.

So for me, the same thing with Apollo, I know that if I go to a party, if I go to sleep, if I go to, if I hold my period, I just start to think this helped me a lot, like every single day of my life. So the people doesn't, doesn't, um, understand. is the, that helps you to prevent, so I, I have a friend, and she, she, she has a lot of business and stuff, so.

So he always is like super anxious. He always, you know, using the cell phone and just playing because he needs to do something.

Speaker 3: Right.

Silvia Fonseca: So I was like, please buy the Apollo. You need the Apollo. And he's like, no, no, it's gonna be enough. So he spent with us a weekend in his house in Tapalpa here and he didn't sleep at all.

anything, you know, like nada, nothing. And so I was like, please use the Apollo. I'm going to give me, I'm going to give you my Apollo. And this means a lot to me. Yeah, use it. And he was like, OK, Apollo. So he bought his Apollo. And he, he was like, Sylvia, I have 10 years without a good sleep. And I sleep for two days, like, Awesome.

I told you, people, I told you. Wow. That's pretty cool, you know.

Michael Kummer: And the thing is, you know, the more, I think, the more issues someone has, the more out of whack they are from their, you know, stress response, you know, immune system, the more of an impact you can feel. You know, if you're already, because a lot of people, you know, sometimes ask me, you know, hey, you tried this or that thing, you know, how, you know, what, what did you feel?

And, you know. I think we are already fairly tuned in and I'm like, well, you know, it was not a major thing, but if every time someone does something where they are so far away from an optimal, you know, state of health, they feel an amazing impact and same, you know, with your friend, I mean, if, if they have had poor sleep for a long time, incapable of managing stress and dealing with anxiety, it's going to have a major impact, you know?

Silvia Fonseca: Naturally, uh, with Javi, he has like, super high, uh, anxious, like, and he, when he goes, uh, uh, to, um, a business meeting or whatever, he always is like, Sylvia, please,

Speaker 3: you are,

Silvia Fonseca: and he knows that he feels bad. It's instantly better, you know, like it's I mean because I told him like just use it for three hours It's all what you need before your meeting, you know, so he always thought works for him, you know And he has like really bad anxiety.

So it's really helps him more, really, really

Michael Kummer: quickly. Yeah, yeah. How about you? I mean, we have, you know, we are, I think, fairly dialed in as far as our lifestyle is concerned, but even you, I think, noticed that dramatic impact. So, tell us more about that.

Katherine Kummer: Well, can I tell the funniest, the fun part, you know, the story?

No, no,

Silvia Fonseca: no, no. Wait, wait. Because I know that she's gonna say the same thing and I, and it's a good point because the people has to understand Mike has like five years using the appoder or something like that, and he'll,

Michael Kummer: we've been using it for a while, yeah

Silvia Fonseca: Pushing always like, hey, you have to try this, and you have to try this, like I see Mike one more thing, you know And

Michael Kummer: it's like,

Silvia Fonseca: I was like, oh my god.

I, I, Sononia, we need to do this,

Michael Kummer: so listen to, listen to what I have to say

Katherine Kummer: Yeah, so what happened was when she came last year and she had her migraine, you know, she, you know, I gave her the Apollo and she started, you know, feeling better. Right. So I was like, so when Sylvia left, you know, I was like.

Michael Kummer: Oh, at that point you hadn't used Apollo.

Katherine Kummer: No, I mean, I, I, I've used it, but not constantly. Like I've used yours. You borrow, you know, I would borrow it, but then you would have the app and then you're not here and things like that. And the one who. used it quite a few times. It was Isabella, our daughter, you know, where she, you know, for her, uh, headaches, um, you know, it really works, you know, because we try to not give medication to our kids.

So, you know, Apollo came, you know,

Michael Kummer: even if you're bleeding, no band aid,

Katherine Kummer: no band aid. Um, so what happened is that Sylvia left and, you know, I was like, you know, she bought it, she's been using it and, you know, it's really working for her. You know, I think I should try it. And that's when I don't, I don't remember the details of how I got it, but I think you got it for me.

Um, and I started using it and I'm like, Oh my God, I was missing out, you know, like, you know, I instantly, you know, I agree with Sylvia and maybe, you know, that motivated me that she was a family member. It was a female,

Speaker 3: you know,

Katherine Kummer: using it. It was, well, but we have a lot of devices and a lot of things, you know, to try and you're always recommending something and, you know, so I, you know, I used it, but not as, you know, all the time since consistently.

Uh huh. Yeah. So after a month, I chatted with Sylvia and she's like, but have you tried the smart vibes? I'm like, no, what what do you mean the smart vibes? And she's like, yeah, there is, you know, Apollo has a smart vibes and it vibrates that whole time and well Not the whole time, but you know, like yeah, you don't have to schedule it and I was like No, but you know, let me see.

And then, you know, you work something out. And then I had a smart vibes on my Apollo, and then I chatted with Sylvia again. And I'm like, Sylvia, you know, you know, like, this is amazing. And that's how I started using Apollo. And it's been almost a year or two that I've been wearing it like every day. And like Sylvia said, you know, there's times where I don't have it and I'm like, Oh my God, you know.

You know, I need it, you know, I, it's part of me now, and the, another, you know, fun part is that at that time when I, I started removing all the devices from my body, like Apple Watch, the WHOOP,

Speaker 3: you know,

Katherine Kummer: all those devices, I'm like, I don't want to have any of that anymore. So I went back to an analog, I don't know, clock, uh, watch, and then the WHOOP, you know, I'm like, I don't need that, you know, I know how I sleep, you know, I'm good, but now with the Polo, I'm like, no, and, you know, when I, when I dress up fancy, you know, I use the clip and I put it, you know, on my pants and when I go, you know, the only time that I don't have it on is, you know, for a shower and for working out.

It's the only time that I don't use it.

Michael Kummer: Yeah. And, and the cool thing with Apollo really is, and I, I didn't know the leader until I talked to Dr. Raven, uh, for, for another podcast episode. And you cannot really use it too much. So you, you never get used to it, or there are, there are no negative side effects if you use it all the time, basically, you know, it's like, you know, getting, being touched by someone.

You can never get too many hugs. I mean, maybe, you know, I can, I guess, but normal people, , you know, they cannot be touched, you know, enough. That, that's one thing, so you can literally use it, you know, all the time, all day, you know, obviously, you know, the limitation is the battery, somebody have to recharge it, but

Silvia Fonseca: Yeah, I feel like, well, one of the things that I, I'm using now is with Antonella.

She, when she get sick, I just put it in recovery and she, oh my god, or for sleep or take a nap, and she get, you know, like, she wake up, like, super happy. Even feeling better and I was like okay for even for Antonella it's like a super good thing you know I have another friend that she buys is the Diapolo she's a trainer and she She loves all that kind of, uh, stuff.

And she didn't know about Apol and she was like, oh, and I ha I don't have that photo, but, uh, I'm going to ask her for the, the picture. She has a, um, 10, 10 months daughter, and she, the daughter was feeling really bad and she put it, you know, and you write like this. And she had in the picture, she has that photo.

And I was like, oh, you're having record? And she was like, of course. So. Like it's now it's like a funnel things with us. They're like, ah, you feel better and she's always like yes and I have the Apollo in I mean doing a 100 percent record. So for example, I play tennis and I schedule my Apollo be right when I am in my practice It starts the, um, the recovery or the energy or before the, the, the, the game or whatever.

So help me a lot with my recovery in my trainings too. So it's a, it's one of the my, you know, my essentials to, to recover, you know, is When you feel bad, you know, right now I have my, you know, I have a problem in my leg and I always used to think be covert and I feel really better, you know, really, really bad.

Yeah,

Katherine Kummer: I think, um, for me also, you know, the social part, um, when I go to the homeschool groups and I have to, you know, be with the kids and other moms and other kids,

Michael Kummer: We're all social butterflies, it looks like.

Katherine Kummer: No, but you know what, you know what is the funny part? That, you know, a lady asked me, you know, Oh, what do you, what, what is that?

And I was like, well, this is, and I explained what it was. And she, and I said, and an example, I said, you know, for this kind of settings of, you know, socializing. And she's like, Oh, I don't have a problem with that. And I'm like, Okay, but I do, I'm different, you know, like, social situations, you know, makes me anxious, and, you know, maybe not with my friends, but when I have to go and entertain other moms that I've, I don't know them, and other kids, then I use, you know, the Apollo, and it works, and so, another not so, um, You know, another situation that it is more sensitive, but the funeral, you know, when we recently went to a funeral and I had it on me and I felt very at peace and it was on and it was helping me to just be present, be there, you know, in a calm manner, you know, explaining the kids, you know, what was happening.

The recovery mode is very good too. I, I use the focus when I have headaches and also my daughter, when she has headaches, you know, she uses it and actually our daughter got a, an Apollo.

Michael Kummer: Yeah, that's right, she has her own apartment.

Katherine Kummer: And she charges it, she sleeps with it, gets up, she's wearing it all the time, and she, I mean, zero complaints, she's just, she hasn't said anything, you know, like, she's just wearing it.

Michael Kummer: Yeah, yeah, and, you know, at the end of the day, it's all about, I mean, we, humans should be able to deal with all of the stuff that we are dealing with, you know, without any gadget, but the truth is, you know, we live in an environment that's not, our physiology was not made for all those modern day stressors, you know, to deal with constantly, you know, we are not supposed to be constantly in fight or flight mode, you know, a saber toothed tiger would maybe attack us, you know, worst case scenario, once a day.

But not every hour, you know, and, and we get attacked, figuratively speaking, you know, almost every hour, depending on, you know, what, what situation you're in, you know, what, what job you have, you know, parenting and, and everything in between, you know, news. Social media, and so, a device like Apollo where, you know, you don't really have to do anything, I mean, there are other things that work well, you know, yoga, breathing, you know, all of those things work, you know, but you have to do something about it, and when you're stressed out already, you're more, you're much less likely to practice those things.

If, if I'm already pissed, you know, I don't want to go breathe, you know, I want to be angry, you know? You Yeah, I should, I know, I should breathe more often, um, and so by, yeah, all of us, I think, and so by using Apollo, you don't have to do anything, you know, it, it does it for you, enabling you to then leverage some of the other techniques to have less stress and to, again, make you more resilient to stress, because stress resilience, I think the more, if there were, if it wasn't for resilience for humans to adapt and improve, We would be all dead, you know, there would not be any modern human.

And so fostering that capacity, I think, is a very powerful feature of Apollo. And, and also the reason why I also wear it a lot.

Silvia Fonseca: Actually, I called Mike a few weeks ago. And I was like, Mike, I'm worried about my Apollo. I think, I don't know, they do something like an update or something because now that I have to spend a lot of time in bed because I can't walk, the Apollo started to vibrate like super hard and I was like, what's going on?

And I wa and so Mike was like, well, maybe because you ha you have to stay a lot of hours in, in bed. So it feels you, like you need, you know, to

Michael Kummer: it. It has a, it has a, a motion sensor and a gyroscope so it knows when you are not moving a lot. Mm-Hmm. , I think that goes into the equation of. of deciding when the smart vibes are coming on, right?

And so that's probably because you were only lying around with your broken leg all day. It's, it's not like you need some extra to get moving.

Silvia Fonseca: No, and I was like, okay, so that Polo thinks by himself, you know, like, it's good. I don't think,

Katherine Kummer: yeah. No, it's been great. It's been great to, you know, it's a good tool to have.

And I'm happy, you know, that now our daughter, you know, because sometimes you can tell a kid, Oh, let's breathe. And they're like, you know, no, I'm not gonna do it, you know, so I think it's helping, you know, to, you know, for Isabella, because, you know, even a year ago, when I got the Apollo, I started getting their emails, their newsletter.

And they, they talk a lot about, you know, You know, like one email was a schedule for a kid that goes to school now. I'm like, oh my god That's so cool. You know a kid, you know that needs it, you know in that environment and that that's great You know, I wish you know, we could use it for you know, isabella or you know, or lucas and then um, You know, so i'm happy now that she has it and she's been you know playing around with the schedule and

Michael Kummer: she set up Her own schedule.

Yeah,

Katherine Kummer: she she went like, okay. This is how I want it and Transcribed by https: otter. ai And to be honest, I see, you know, an improvement, you know, even for sleep, um, you know, so it's been working really well.

Michael Kummer: Yeah, yeah, cool. And, um, you know, we have a lot of, uh, resources on Apollo videos and blog posts that go much more into the science of how it works, why it works.

Uh, we're going to link all of that down below. Funny enough, their brother is actually the video editor, so Richie is going to put all of this stuff in the description. Um, and, um, and we also have a discount codes that we're also going to share in the, in the show notes and the description, or probably the non screen for those of you who are watching.

Um, so you get, uh, can get Apollo at a discount. It, it really works. It's not placebo. There is a lot of, um, high quality studies that show the effectiveness of Apollo, increasing HRV 100 variability, helping with PTSD, so with severe cases of. You know, stress induced mental disorders, uh, not just the stuff that we are dealing with, you know, a lot of us have PTSD, we're just stressed from, you know, stupid stuff, um, that shouldn't stress us, and so it, it really works, and, um, you know, read the science, read the, the, the papers, uh, very interesting stuff, and, um, yeah, I think with that, we're gonna wrap it up, unless there's anything else.

You don't want to share?

Silvia Fonseca: I want to tell the people that please invest in you you know, like, I can't.

Michael Kummer: Invest else, yes.

Silvia Fonseca: Because I prefer to spend my money in A lot of things that I don't need it, but I like it and sometimes when you think about your body and your things, you don't spend that kind of money.

And so please do that. Do you are, you know, you are going to love it for sure. I know I'm going

Michael Kummer: to share Sylvia's email address so you can complain.

Silvia Fonseca: Yeah, no, it's actually, I was like. You know, I can buy it. I can, you know, it's the distributor in Mexico because, you know, a lot of people need it in Latin America and all around the world.

So, and, um, I can be a seller because I always was like, you for sale that photo. And I was like, no, I squirt because you are a really good seller of the device. But no, I, I do because I really, because really helped me. And, but one of the things, I didn't know that in the U. S. that people are like that, but I was like, more Latino culture, that we don't prevent, is the disease, or, I don't know how to say it, is the, so you can prevent, and it's really important to think about you, and spend now time, because now is a lot of time, Things around, a lot of devices and a lot of information, but, but the good ones, You know, we don't spend in the good ones.

We prefer to, you know, like do other stuff. So, is that, that's my only, you know, advice for the people doing this.

Michael Kummer: Thank you. Well said.

Silvia Fonseca: Yes.

Michael Kummer: All right, cool.

Katherine Kummer: This was fun.

Michael Kummer: Yes, it was fun. Thanks for joining. Appreciate it. Subscribe, stick around, sign up, rate, and we'll see you in the next episode.

Silvia Fonseca: I'm, I'm waiting for the next Michael Kummer camp now.

Michael Kummer: Yeah, well, it's August. Very soon, very soon. Gonna be new devices, new, new everything.

Silvia Fonseca: Bye.

Michael Kummer: New vibes. Thank you. Ciao.

Silvia Fonseca: Ciao.
